As this is a writing intensive course, it includes a term paper. Papers should be written
in APA Style (no abstract) and be a minimum of 2,500 words, double spaced, including a separate title page and separate references page. The deadline is Saturday 07/25/20. Information from the peer-reviewed journal articles should serve as your primary resources.

The University has designated this course as “writing intensive” so you will be required to write a 2,500 to 3,000 word paper (not including references) based on a review of the psychological disorder of your choice from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). Your audience consists of researchers that know little to nothing about this disorder, so use full APA formatting and style. This means you should use language that is more formal than a magazine article (avoid contractions etc.), but still as simple and concise as possible.
– Your paper will utilize headings to identify sections in which you discuss A) Etiology, B) Prevalence Rates, C) DSM-5 Diagnostic Criteria, D) Impairment and E) Treatments. At least five references are required, of which four or more must be peer-reviewed (at least one explained thoroughly). Provide a reference list in APA style.
