About the work of art you choose:
 it cannot be one of the works we go over in depth in class, especially if it is a work that you might have to talk about on the exam
 you can choose any work from the Italian Renaissance, between the 1300s and the 1500s (but from nowhere outside the Italian Renaissance)
 see supplemental sheet for suggestions [this will be updated soon] You don’t need to do outside research, but if you do, CITE EVERYTHING
 All quotations and borrowed language must be cited.
 All borrowed non-general ideas or paraphrasing must be cited.
 All obscure facts or unique scholarly theories that aren’t your own must be cited.
 It is better to over-footnote than under-footnote.
