Strategic planning leads to establishing the outputs while operational planning establishes objectives, programs, policies, procedures, activities. (Longest and Darr, p. 424). Planning involves decision making about human resources and the future. It is dynamic, continuous and focused on the outputs.
As we’ve learned in prior modules, organizing includes purposely developing patterns of relationships between people and resources, determining how the work is divided and specialized.
