Did the officer behave ethically in the real life situation that she spoke about in the video? An officer’s religous, political, institutional, and personal beliefs may influence how they treat citizens. What are some of your beliefs? What would you have done differently in the above situation?
What about the Amber Guyger case? Did she receive a fair trial? Did she behave ethically? What about the witnesses in the case? Did they act ethically?

The officer did her job, asked questions, talked to them both separately, looked for evidence and was able to get the true story of what happened. After fully investigating the situation her and her partner both learned that the suspect wasn’t a suspect after all and had done no wrong. That gave the officers no reason to arrest him and take him into custody so she than called to get permission to release the man but was told by her boss that she was not to release him and to bring to him in. At that point it was out of her control so she isn’t at fault and she did in fact behave ethically. One thing that I would had done differently to avoid the outcome of this situation is that I would of waited until finding out exactly what went on before putting cuffs on him.
As far as the Amber case how do you only sentence a someone who committed murder 10 years in prison? In the video you see the officer walking back and forth for a little while, not only that her apartment was downstairs and she was upstairs so how is it possible to even get the two confused? Amber committed cold murder and should have been sentenced to life in prison. She took away someone’s life who didn’t deserve to lose it and still get to live hers after 10 years? Whats fair about that? This was clearly not a fair trial and I do not feel that Amber acted ethically because she did not the right to shoot and kill that man. The witnesses seem very hurt by this situation but they still answered all of the questions that they were asked with respect. Both witnesses acted ethically.
