Reaction time sound experiment ID: #1611340900941

1. The studies were using within-subjects, also known as repeated-measures, because the same individual is testing all the conditions (Budiu, 2018). Each participant can log into the portal and test both the sound and color time experiments.
2. The independent variable in the studies was the different colors and sounds that varied from each other. They were manipulated directly by the researcher to follow a unique formation to test the speed and accuracy of different students (Budiu, 2018). The dependent variable was the time measured to determine the speed and accuracy of students identifying the different colors and sounds in the experiment.
3. The hypothesis in this experiment, according to the OPL website, is accurate. The hypothesis in this experiment was directed towards stereotypic colors and sounds that individuals can identify accurately in the shortest time possible. When the color and the sound were incorrect, it impacted the reaction time more compared to when the color and sound were correct

Simple reaction time is described as time passing between recorded reaction and onset of a stimulus. In this case, a sound cannot be specified by one point in a time. The main objective of any motor structure is connecting limbs, but non-connection is needed for inhibition and selection processes in some situations. In this essay, I will hypothesize that reaction time to a sound increases as sound is increased or maintained constant since the expectation is the more the sound, the more reactive a person should be.
Using a multi-limb reaction time task, normalized and simple reaction time were examined together with faults rates in 36 teens for 15 coordination modes, including all possible limb conscription and assortment processes. Results showed a connecting or decoupling interactionsmodel showing robust, intermediate, and weak communication for choosing homologous, diagonal and ipsilateral limbs (Swinnen, (2014). This method demonstrated that handling complexity in simple RT was majorly controlled by the recruitment principle, which states that the more limbs engaged, the lower the performance, to whole processing complexity were similar in choice of reaction time. On the same concern, an investigation was done to determine how RT is affected by a time instantly after onset (Osgood, (1953). Involving 11 subjects and white noise is generated (700Hz) before the electronic mixture with the tone. Two stimulus parameters, the level of white noise and tone, were not the same in the experiment. A graph plotted showed that when the signal-to-noise relation is held constant, RT is reduced withincreasing tone level.
The hypothesis was nullified from the above discussion since no significant difference was found in RT when the experiment was repeated in second and third times. I can conclude that higher tonal variation produces shorter RT even when noise to signal ratio is held constant.
