Final Short Story Analysis

Pick one of the schools of thought we have studied thus far:
• Psychoanalytical
Perform literary analysis on ““Who’s Irish?” by Gish Jen we have read in class using that lens. You will want to look at the specific issue each school of thought looks to analyze and how this piece of writing can be interpreted through it. A single piece of writing will have a different interpretation depending on which school you choose. You may want to look at the elements of fiction and the elements of style in conjunction with your school of thought. How can the elements of fiction and style in the writing be analyzed using that specific school of thought?
For example: how does character enhance a feminist reading of a text?
How does plot enhance a structuralist reading?
The only restriction in your choice of short story is that it cannot be the same short story you used in your first essay!
Your Essay Must:
• Be at least 4 pages(this means ALL the way down to the bottom of the fourth page. If you hit enter, you would be on the fifth page).
• Incorporate outside research (either of the short story itself or the school of thought)
• Have a work cited page.
• Use it-text citations.
• Have an intro paragraph with a thesis statement.
• Have a conclusion.
• Be in proper MLA format.
• Be submitted to Canvas by the deadline.
