power point assignment

POWERPOINT PRESENTATION:

 Each student will be required to complete a PowerPoint presentation on a famous gangster or event. The presentation will consist of between 20 to 25 slides. A list of gangsters/events will be provided by the instructor on MYLS.

Power-point Assignment Criteria
 You are required to pick one gangster or topic (from the list provided on MYLS) and complete a power-point that provides an overview of the character or event. (a list has been provided)
 The power-point should be between 20 to 25 slides.
o There is a lot of information about various gangsters/events. The goal of this assignment is for you to summarize the major information. Obviously, you have to be selective. For example, you may want to highlight the three most important things to know about a gangster or why he is important?
o A good power-point is not only informative but also ‘attractive,’ meaning the design is easy to view. This can take some time, and you should experiment with different styles that are available in the power-point program.
 There is a rubric associated with the assignment. Please examine the rubric to help with understanding the grading criteria.
 The power-point should provide an overview and not be too detailed. You can include talking points and in the notes section of the power-point if you want to add more detailed information about the talking points (optional). This is a simulation of a real presentation. In most presentations, the presenter has a list of notes that help them stay on track and provide more information.
 References are not required. However, if you decided to include, please place on the last slide (in APA format)
