Example of how the paper should be written

Quality Paper (or the title of your paper here not bolded)
Provide an introduction paragraph regarding your chosen nursing situation or problem that you have previously identified in your week one assignment (the blue section of the SWOT). Give the reader a few sentences about your topic and its importance first. Use an in-text citation with evidence to tell the reader how important the subject is. This section is not about the SWOT findings, but rather the topic that you identified as your problem and that you will end up changing in some way in the week 6 paper (next week). You must then address how your topic ties in with quality improvement or safety initiatives here. For example, if your chosen topic was related to falls, you might address the number of falls in the opening paragraph with citations to show the evidence (as described above) and then you could address the benchmarking of falls across the organization or country. Avoid first person and personal pronouns.
Nurse and Nurse Leader Role
In this section, you must address what the nurse and the nurse leader do in relation to this topic you have chosen. This should be familiar as you addressed your role as a nurse and as a nurse leader in the intro section of the week one assignment. If you had feedback in that section of the week one assignment, remember to review it and consider the feedback in making changes. Build a paragraph about what the bedside or staff nurse role is in relation to this subject as well as whether they collect any data in relationship to quality improvement for that subject. Additionally, consider the nurse leader (at any level) and their role with this subject and with the data collection as well as with any safety initiatives for this subject in your facility. Build a full paragraph that is 5-7 sentences and avoid first person in this and all sections of the APA paper. For example, using that same issue of falls, you could address the role of the bedside or staff nurse in assessing the patient for fall risk and assigning safety measures based on that risk assessment. Perhaps there are even post fall forms that need completed. In this section, you will also address the role of the nurse leader for the patient as it relates to falls whether that is safety preventative measures or data collection measures related to the quality issues before and after falls. Build at least one or two paragraphs here and avoid first person, using scholarly voice such as “The role of the bedside nurse includes…” . Again, this is not about your SWOT analysis findings, but it does include information from that one blue section at the beginning of the week one assignment.
Accountability in Healthcare
In this section, your job is to address accountability in healthcare and in this situation of the topic/problem you chose. This section certainly may overlap a little with the section above as it may be that you want to talk about task accountability. However, I fully recommend talking about the broader issue of healthcare accountability, perhaps even bringing in a definition from a scholarly source for accountability or nursing accountability.
Evidence Based Healthcare Practices
In this section, address the specific evidence based practices that you know are available or even already used in relation to this topic. You might see what clinical practice guidelines exist on this topic or are used in your hospital. Remember in describing them, you will still want to use scholarly voice and avoid first person and personal pronouns. You might state “Clinical practice guidelines in place at the designated healthcare facility include…” or talk about what is available nationally or supported by specialty organizations. Look to regulatory agencies like the Joint Commission for information as well as other available sources like specialty agencies or quality agencies. Please use sources here. Remember you are specifically addressing quality and safety here that is supported by guidelines, agencies or published evidence.
Conclusion
Provide at least one paragraph summarizing your entire paper. Ensure that you address all headers. Take the important points from each heading of the paper and bring them together here in the summary/conclusion. Create a full 5-7 sentence paragraph or more. The grading rubric assigns points for this section, so be sure to create this section. Note that I will not deduct points in this paper if it exceeds the limit. Keep in mind the grading rubric gives points for several key factors such as using level one APA headings, a running head, addressing each of the five topics in the paper, using a conclusion, and using accurate citations and references. Please review the details of the rubric closely and let me know if you have any questions.

Ensure to include all references from all assignments that you have inserted within this paper. Remember that all in-text citations must have a full reference within this reference page. Use hanging indent format for all references and place them in alphabetical order (remove the yellow highlight after placing your works here.
