Write an essay of at least 1500 words synthesizing the materials covered in the course.
Topics covered during this course: Intro and Team Design, Dynamics, Conflict, & Leadership, Communication & Decision Making, Creativity Innovation, & Diversity, and Project Management.
Following the title page bearing the title, student’s name, course information, and date, the following are the required headings of your paper:
An introduction to the literature review which is approximately 1-2 paragraphs)
This should include 3-5 sources in addition to the Griffin and Dunham text
The review of each article, book, or source should be approximately 2-3 paragraphs in length including the following:
An introductory paragraph about the article, book, or source, including the proper APA citation.
A brief description of the study that the researchers/authors conducted, including key populations or samples examined.
A brief description of the authors’ findings in your own words.
Note: References must be properly cited within the text throughout the document according to the APA format
A summary at the end of the paper of 1 – 2 paragraphs detailing what you learned about the topic from the literature review
Conclusions and Recommendations
Approx. 2 paragraphs making recommendations or giving the reader advice on the best practices in managing teams from what you have learned in your reading.
At the end of the document
All references are current and properly cited according to the APA, double-spaced with a hanging indent.
All references must be dated within the last five years. (Research older than five years is not considered current.)
Sometimes it is appropriate to cite a landmark book, article or theorist whose work was published earlier than five years ago.
If this applies to your study, seek approval from the instructor in advance.
As a general rule, do not use wikipedia.com, answers.com, or infoplease.com or similar websites for references
Limit your quotations during the literature review to no more than two (brief)
Students sometimes cut-and-paste long quotations or too many quotations into the literature review
If you properly cite your references, the reader can find the quoted text in the literature; as such, there is no need to provide extensive quotations
The instructor wants to read your analysis, synthesis, and conclusions from the previous research, not quotations of what someone else said.
